A Dance of Fire and Ice is absolutely beginner-friendly. It may not take you a lot of time to figure out what the game is about. Just like the name suggested, you have two planets which are fire and ice, and they are revolving around each other. Your mission is to keep the balance between them while trailing along the path.

The notion of this game is quite simple because you just need to tap to keep up with the beat, and what’s notable is that the way they design this game is fantastic. There are 6 worlds in total and every world is with a unique theme. Whenever you enter a new level, you will definitely be fascinated by its amazing background and music of it.  This music can be jazz or techno. And it is such a great relief to see the simplistic and harmonious design and different soundtracks. So this game will greatly appeal to minimalists’ tastes.

I’d say this is a simple yet challenging game. For the beginning part, it is without any trouble. But the challenging and tough part lies in the later levels. You will probably encounter various shapes of tile trails and more Z bends and complex twits. And you usually don’t get any guidance for some tiles that are not visible. That being said, you can still remember this anyway is a rhythm-based game, so the rhythm of the music is the key to playing this game. You are just supposed to follow the beats of it, I strongly suggest you guys wear your headphones, which will help you never miss a beat. One biggest difficulty you sometimes would feel pressured to keep the perfect equilibrium between two planets so you may tap the notes earlier than the right timing, so your tempo will be a mess and consequently, you won’t pass this level.

To prevent the player from ruining the whole tempo, this game also provides the player with amazing calibration tools including auto ones and manual ones, which can help the player pay attention to his beat and you can manually adjust it if you feel it is a bit faster. In this way, you can perfectly go by the rhythm.

If you, unfortunately, fail one level, you can still replay this one. Sometimes you could also get stuck in one level and could not manage to enter the next one. My advice for you is that you can take a step back and redo the tutorial part again to see if you really have mastered the coordination of your eyes and ears.
